Who we are
Casinys is a commercial office fit-out, refurbishment and design contractor based at 60 Cremorne Street, Cremorne VIC 3121, Australia. You can reach us at casinys@gmail.com or on +61 3 9472 6081. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it.
It applies to our website, our quotes, our site visits and everything we do after you engage us for a project.
What we collect
We ask for the minimum we need to quote and deliver a job. In practice that usually means:
- Your name, company name and role
- Email address and phone number
- Project site address and approximate floor area
- Notes and photos taken during site visits and design meetings
- Invoices, purchase orders and payment records
- Messages you send us by email or through the website form
We do not collect payment card numbers. Those are handled entirely by our bank and payment processor.
Why we use it
We use your details to prepare quotes, run projects, manage subcontractor access, invoice you and keep the records the ATO and our insurer expect. If you have asked us to keep you updated about a service, we will use your email for that and nothing else.
We do not sell your information, we do not rent it to list brokers, and we do not use it for advertising to other companies.
Who we see it
Your information stays inside Casinys except where a project genuinely needs an outside party to see it. That means:
- Our accountants and bookkeeper, for invoicing and tax records
- Subcontractors who need the site address and contact name to do their work
- Our insurer and legal advisers, if a claim or dispute arises
- Government bodies, if we are legally required to provide records
Anyone outside Casinys who sees your details is required to keep them confidential.
How long we keep it
Project records are kept for seven years after handover, which matches the period the ATO expects us to hold business records and the period our insurer may need them for a defects claim. Website enquiries that do not turn into a project are cleared out after two years.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. If you want your details removed and we are not legally required to keep them, we will delete them and confirm in writing.
Email casinys@gmail.com with the subject line Privacy request and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
